Waiting for my Phone, browsing the Apps

One of the perks of working for Microsoft is that every now and then we get included in some great programs. The current one is to replace all hour current mobile phones with Windows Phone 7 units. As I wait for my turn I’ve been reading some of the buzz internally as the rollout happens.

One site (two if you could country codes) that was sent around was the visualisation of the applications.

UK: http://www.bing.com/visualsearch?g=uk_wp7&qpvt=Windows+Phone+7+Apps&FORM=Z9GE32#

US http://www.bing.com/visualsearch?g=wp7&qpvt=Windows+Phone+7+Apps&FORM=Z9GE43#

Granted it’s not the thousands of applications other mobile OS provides boast, but I probably won’t need thousands of different apps on my phone.

I also spent time on the how-to site when a friend asked me some questions on their phone. Worth noting this site, http://www.microsoft.com/windowsphone/en-us/howto/wp7/default.aspx, I have just in case I need pointers.
